Winners of scam reporting campaign & more invites

First of all let me apologize for being late for inviting to google wave. I can see many have reported scams to scampond and must be waiting to receive my invite. I was having a terrible fever and took weeks until recovered and got mood to read these comments.

So, this time I am making the biggest giveaway of google wave invites. Here are the randomly selected winners from the readers who reported scam to scampond. Please note that some of the winners will be able to create google wave account instantly. This is the actual number of invites I planned to giveaway when I started the scam reporting campaign. Son: Its “a personal communication and collaboration tool” announced by Google at the Google I/O conference on May 27, 2009. It is a web-based service, computing platform, and communications protocol designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking. It has a strong collaborative and real-time focus supported by extensions that can provide, for example, spelling/grammar checking, automated translation among 40 languages, and numerous other extensions. Initially released only to developers, a “preview release” of Google Wave was extended to nearly 1 million users beginning September 30, 2009, with the initial 100,000 users each allowed to invite up to twenty additional users.

Son: Well you can buy one on ebay for around $50.
Father: $50! For a service that will be free in a few months?
Son: But DADDY! I really want one!
Father: If you can find one free you can have it.

This was posted by Drake, one of the readers, and I just couldnt avoid sending him an invite, just an exception I would say. If this was included in the competition of Greatest Ways to Use Google Wave, it could have won the first place!

I have just selected 02 winners and invite to google is on the way. These winner were chosen from the competition of Greatest Ways to Use Google Wave. I must gladly say that all the ideas were fantastic and it was quite difficult to pick one. I picked two and have notified them via email, once they reply I will send the invite which can be used to open a google wave account immediately.

Normally google wave takes more than a week to deliver the invite into receivers inbox. But, the invites I am giving away is an exception, the account can be setup in seconds. (I would appreciate if someone whom I have invited could tell their experience here).

As you all know sea waves are used to some fresh infomation… why don’t we use the Google Waves to help other?

I would use google wave to spread awareness about environment and global warning. As this is a major problem to the whole world I think it is to be given higher priority. Safe environment is now considered as a human right for everyone, so I think my cause is very useful for the world. Global warning makes natural disasters more often and destructive, earthquakes are on everyday news and word tsunami has become well-known, all this just because of global warming. So, I will use google wave to save the environment.

Can Google Wave identify terrorists? or help economy?

Google Wave is a new communication and collaboration tool that works in real time. Taking communication to a new level, it will opens up more doors and I just cant imagine all the ways it will be utilized by the world population. All I can understand at present is many people are looking for wave invites. If you have read some of the comments most probably you would have realised that people working in different fields have one thing in common; they like to get google wave account. So, this means google wave will be used by people working in different sectors.

Wave is a diverse project, giving flexibility in lot of ways. So, people from different fields can choose their preferred way of communication and collaboration within the wave. if not the developers can make it. Wave is super flexible!

But, how would such flexibility can deal with global challenges? would it be part of the problem or part of the sollution?

At first, let me name a few of the global challenges that are  hot on the news these days; economic recession, global warming, terrorism.

Can Google Wave help with the on-going economic recession? If communication influences it, why not google wave? It is a free tool in which many people can communicate together at the same time, draw plans and work together. Perhaps, may reduce the necessity of physical meetings which means reduced costs for individual people and businesses. So, google wave is right on time if not already too late. :D

To tackle with global warming, can google wave help reduce power consumption? or would it rather increase as more people find a reason to stay online longer?

Terrorism is the big topic as communication is not only useful for us, I would say it is vital for terrorists who plan and execute terror activities people dont think of. So, how can google wave identify a terrorist or terror activity? This is no easy task, better let this part for a genius to comment. :D
